Vienna

We are doing our usual things in Vienna to reaclimate.
The weather is much like in Sydney except a little cooler in the morning and warmer in the evening. Reports of a horrid winter here have been exaggerated. Only 1or 2 school days were lost dure to weather.
First thing, we walked to Macgruders store to buy some white fish to go with the bagels for breakfast. But it has closed. We had to walk further to Whole Foods which was educating a group of kindergarteners about the fish counter. . . .what toddler has not been to a grocery store!
Then the Luculescus picked us up for some serious retail therapy. Nona is my personal enabler. She introduced me to Ecco shoes last time we were here (I wore them today.) So while the menfolk sat at home, we hit BSW (a shoe warehouse) and Macy's. Nona had coupons for each so I got shoes at $15 each and a couple of non-jersey, cotton or other non-plastic fibre shirts -- my latest must do-- for $30 each. I saved heaps but, if at home, would have saved more because I would have
Lucy (because I didn't take any photos today)
spent nothing.
Tonight we ate at the local Japanese restaurant where they recognise us although we haven't been there for two years.
